“La Nuvola” by Fuksas: Extraordinary Opening to the Public

See a contemporary icon of Rome with a visit to "La Nuvola" between 8th and 11th December

If you love architecture and will be visiting Rome this year between 8th and 11th December, then we highly recommend visiting “La Nuvola”, which is Rome’s new convention centre and is sure to become a contemporary icon of the city.

While this convention centre, which was famously designed by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, is normally reserved for VIP parties, special events and business conferences, the Eur Spa Board of Directors has declared the centre open to the public from the 8th to the 11th of December, with expectations that the centre will attract hundreds of visitors.

About La Nuvola

La Nuvola is a new convention centre in Rome, which is set to become an icon of the modern face of the city. This enormous structure, which was constructed with 20,000 tons of steel, cost over 300 million euros to build and its opening has been highly anticipated. Inside, it is decorated with American cherry wood panels and black wood, and the exterior features a delicately curved surface to guarantee perfect acoustics. It can accommodate a staggering 8000 people and has 15 lifts and two escalators, as well as a luxury hotel with 439 VIP rooms.
