The Smallest House in Italy

Near the Pantheon in Rome, there is a high-tech mini-loft that has been declared the smallest house in Italy!

Can you imagine living in a space just 7 square metres?!

That is what architect Marco Pierazzi had to work with when he created the smallest house in Italy. It was originally a workshop in central Rome and then a newspaper stand, but Pierazzi saw potential for a high-tech mini-house featuring everything you need for modern living. It features a sofa bed and a folding table that pulls out under the shower! The house is also decked out with mod-cons, including Wi-Fi, a TV and a music system. Pierazzi remarked that, using creativity, his architectural skills and a little ingenuity, he was able to optimise every available centimetre to make this former newspaper stand a home.

And the best thing about it is surely it’s central location in the heart of Rome, just a stone’s throw from the most beautiful sights of the capital.
