Bend the Concept of Time in Rome

A new exhibition has been unveiled at National Gallery of Modern Art.

A new exhibition, titled Time is Out of Joint, is now showing at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome under the direction of Cristiana Collu.

The exhibition, which features quoted verses from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, celebrates the refurbishment of the gallery, which has been underway since June 2016. As a part of the redesign, several spaces at the iconic gallery have been fully renovated with profound reinterpretation of several collections, as well as the unveiling of the Time if Out of Joint exhibition, which explores the elasticity of the concept of time. The exhibition refreshingly ignores historical linearity to unfold a snap-shot of the gallery’s long life, with pieces from Giacomo Balla, Gustav Klimt, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Giacometti, Cristina Lucas, Adrian Paci and Sophie Ristelhueber – to name only a few.

The exhibition will be open to the public until 15th April, 2017, and is well worth a visit if you have an interest in modern art.
